Treatment with vinblastine temporarily only at the Máxima Center

Starting today, children treated with vinblastine will receive their gift at the Máxima Center and, in principle, not at a shared care center.

A national shortage of the drug vinblastine is looming and therefore this temporary measure applies. By concentrating this treatment at one location, we can make the best possible use of the available supply of vinblastine. This will allow us to bridge the period until there is a new supply of vinblastine and better ensure continuity of treatment.

We ask your understanding for this situation. Questions? Please contact your pediatric oncologist.
