Child Care Services

At the child care services area on the ground floor, siblings can attend free of charge. Under the supervision of experienced volunteers, they can do crafts, play games, sleep, relax, or do homework. Volunteers also accompany siblings to activities in the center.

The child care services area has a pleasant indoor and outdoor play area, as well as a separate quiet space for doing homework.

For young children, there is a bedroom with two cribs. We follow your child’s eating and sleeping schedule as closely as possible. Do you have any special requests or important information to share? Please feel free to discuss this with the volunteers.

Reservations are appreciated, but you are also very welcome without a reservation.

Reservations

There is space for a limited number of children at one time. Would you like to be sure of a spot? Then you can make a reservation. You can do this:

You will always receive confirmation of your reservation.

Supervision

The supervision is provided by trained volunteers from the Ronald McDonald House who have experience working with children. All volunteers have been screened with a Certificate of Conduct (VOG). Volunteers are not allowed to administer medication.

What to bring

• Packed lunch

• For young children: bottle and formula, diapers, sleeping bag and comfort item, and a set of clean/dry clothes

Rules

Your child may:

• Not have an infection (such as diarrhea, vomiting, fever, a cold, flu, or skin infections).

• Not have a childhood illness (such as chickenpox, rubella, measles, scarlet fever, whooping cough, mumps, or fifth/sixth disease).

• Not have been in contact with someone with a childhood illness in the three weeks prior to visiting the child care services area.

The person bringing or picking up the child:

• Must not have an infection (such as diarrhea, vomiting, fever, a cold, the flu, or skin infections).

• Must be reachable by phone so the volunteers can contact you if needed.

Opening hours

The child care services area is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We are closed on weekends, public holidays, mandatory days off, and on December 24 and 31.

Cancellation

If your child is unexpectedly unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible by email at speelopvang@prinsesmaximacentrum.nl, so we can offer the spot to another child.
