For referrers

The Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of children (0-18 years) with (suspicion of) a pediatric oncological disorder.

The hospital is organized in departments, with specific expertise:

  • Hematology-oncology
  • Solid-oncology
  • Neuro-oncology
  • Allogeneic stem cell transplantation

The Princess Máxima Center focuses primarily on caring for children in the Netherlands. Our experts are also happy to talk to adolescents around 18 years old with a pediatric oncological disorder.

Referral procedure
A pediatric oncologist from each department is available to referring colleagues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you call the central number (088 972 72 72) and indicate which expert you would like to speak to, you will be transferred immediately. Because of the often urgent nature of the referral and the large impact on the family, we opt for referral via direct telephone contact.

Additional written information can then be sent via:
Post: Postbus 113, 3720 AC Bilthoven
Fax: 088-9725009
Email: info@prinsesmaximacentrum.nl

Complaints with survivors
The late effects outpatient clinic of the Princess Maxima Center specializes in the follow-up of children and adults after treatment for a childhood oncological condition. The experts at the outpatient clinic can be reached by telephone during office hours, but you can also e-mail them via LATERpoli@prinsesmaximacentrum.nl. You can find more information here.

Shared Care
The Princess Máxima Center works in close cooperation with a number of shared care centers throughout the Netherlands. Care that can be implemented closer to home takes place there as much as possible. On the shared care page, you will find more information.
