Our funding
Scientific research is essential to achieve our goal to cure all children with cancer with an optimal quality of life. Therefore, our researchers focus on a broad spectrum of funding opportunities in pediatric oncology.
Since the start of the Princess Máxima Center, Children Cancer Free Foundation (KiKa) provides the research organization with core funding. Also the Dutch Ministry of Health (VWS) contributes with a structural subsidy beschikbaarheidbijdrage academische zorg (BBAZ) for the infrastructure of the research organization.
In addition to this base funding our research groups have proven to be successful in obtaining national, European and international fundings from various sources including: the European Commission, public-private partnerships and specific donations from health funds and foundations, like the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF), KiKa, Oncode Institute, Oncode Accelerator and the Princess Máxima Center Foundation.
