Kidney (function) test

The purpose of a kidney (function) test is to determine how well the kidneys are functioning and what condition they are in. During a kidney (function) test, a small amount of radioactive liquid is injected into a vein.

Various kidney (function) tests are conducted. During each test, your child lies very still on a narrow table. The kidneys are X-rayed or scanned. The appointments office will send you a letter containing information on the kidney (function) test prior to your child being tested.

Should you need any further information, please feel free to ask.
