Cancer and its treatment put a heavy demand on your child's body. Good nutritional status ensures that your child is better able to cope with the treatment and that your child's growth and development suffer the least possible interference. Eating well is therefore important, but not easy, because the illness and/or its treatment might cause your child to develop nutritional problems, in which case eating is no longer self-evident nor enjoyable.
Personal advice
Nutrition or a diet can contribute to the treatment or complaints of your child. The dietitian specializes in nutrition and diets. The dietitian gives your child personal advice and helps you and your child to adhere to that advice.

Should you have any questions or want the help of a dietician, please consult your doctor and ask to be referred to a dietician.
