Elastomeric pump

Your child will soon be receiving medication at home through an elastomeric pump. The treatment will begin at the Princess Máxima Center and will be administered at home by a home care nurse.
What is an elastomeric pump?

An elastomeric pump is a portable infusion pump consisting of a transparent, elastic reservoir filled with medication and a connecting line. Once the pump is connected to the IV or line, the medication begins to flow slowly at the correct rate.

The brochure Medication at Home via an Elastomeric Pump provides information about the pump and explains what to do in case of any issues. Please note this brochure is only available in Dutch at the moment.
