What should you take with you when you come to the Máxima Center?

When your child is admitted to hospital or visits the day treatment, it is useful to bring a number of things along from home.
When being admitted to hospital
  • Medicines for the first day
  • Favorite cuddly toy, books and toys
  • Tablet, music
  • Clothing (clothes, underwear, pajamas, slippers or flip flops)
  • Toiletries, such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo
  • Admission notification
  • Insurance papers
  • Vaccination certificates
  • Dietary requirements, if applicable
  • Medicines list

Also bring clothes, a towel, toiletries, something to read and a laptop or tablet for yourself. It is best to leave valuables, such as jewelry and money, at home.

When visiting the day treatment
  • A cuddly toy and something to keep your child entertained
  • Medicines for the entire day
  • Tube feeding formula and tube feeding syringes
  • Diapers and wipes
  • Clean set of clothes
  • Something to eat for yourself
If you take another one of your children with you, arrange childcare in advance at the Play Center or take someone with you who can take care of your child.
