Quality

Those who want to cure every child with cancer naturally want to provide good care. Quality is, therefore, an important subject in care, research and training. Together with the children and parents/guardians, we are always looking for ways to further improve quality.
At the Princess Máxima Center, every employee contributes to delivering excellent quality; whether it concerns care, research, training or hospitality and our services. The quality department coordinates all activities related to the continuous improvement of care. In order to be able to really improve the care, we ask the children, parents/guardians and employees for input.

How do we improve our quality?
We make quality together; every year we set priorities and at the Princess Máxima Center we stimulate each other to keep learning to keep improving. We therefore also analyze possible calamities. We develop indicators that make it possible to measure how we are doing in the field of quality. We look at our processes in practice through internal audits. This way we not only see where there are opportunities to improve, but external parties can also look at our care (such as the Dutch Healthcare and Youth Inspectorate). We are tested by external organizations to see if we meet the standard and to learn where we can improve.

Do you want to share questions or experiences with us?
