Faster MRI back in use at the Máxima Center

As of December 18, MRI scans will once again be performed at the Princess Máxima Center. The repair of the 3 Tesla MRI, which has been out of service since November 5, was completed ahead of schedule.

Over the past few weeks, people have been working hard to get the MRI repaired as quickly as possible. This means that in the short term, most scans can be performed again in the Máxima. In cooperation with UMC Utrecht, we are investigating whether and where additional capacity for MRI scans is needed.

Children and parents will be personally informed by the planning department of any (postponed) appointments. In some cases, MRI scans can still be performed at UMC Utrecht without anesthesia.
