More choice on menu ‘Kanjerkar’

The feedback from parents and children was an important source of changes in the supply of food and drinks at the Princess Máxima Center. The food concept has been adjusted as a result.

The host(ess) comes six times a day with the Kanjerkar which contains a standard range of food and drinks. From mid-March, a fresh smoothie, a soup, a cold and warm lunch dish, a bread salad, a sweet snack and a meal salad are available daily from 10 am. The choice has therefore become wider at each eating moment. At dinner, children can still choose between three special dinner dishes. The choice for dinner is previously requested by the host(ess), so that possibly customization can be provided and child and parents can eat at the same time.

Special
Children who can use some extra energy (on the advice of the dietician) receive a separate energy-rich menu card. All dishes on this menu card provide more energy. So these children no longer see dishes on the menu that are less suitable.

Based on feedback, tasting sessions and consumption, the recipes of some dishes have also been adjusted and dishes have been replaced. In this way, our offer increasingly meets the wishes of the children.

Restaurant
In the restaurant of the Máxima there is a separate section for parents and children, to the left of the entrance at the ‘houses’. The walking route of the employees has been changed, so that there is a quiet area for eating together. The tables for parents and children are specially indicated with orange table plates, footsteps on the floor and signage.
