Based on our vision of developmental-oriented care, the Máxima Center has indoor and outdoor spaces for sports, games, recreation, music, theater and there is a school. There is a lot to do and a lot is possible.
Children and parents may go anywhere in the building, for example, to go to school, or to the living room, the construction site or the music studio. Even with an IV of chemotherapy, your child is usually allowed off the ward, after receiving permission from the nurse or doctor. Children are also usually allowed to go outside.
If you come across things that could be better, please let us know through our ombudsmen. It's important that we hear your opinion, because then we can keep improve our care.
